1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Youcine mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

2. Description of Service

Youcine is a mobile application that provides information about movies and TV shows, including but not limited to:

  • Movie and TV show listings, descriptions, and metadata
  • Ratings, reviews, and recommendations
  • Trailer and video content information
  • Cast and crew information
  • Search and discovery features
  • Favorites and watchlist functionality

The App aggregates information from third-party sources, including The Movie Database (TMDb) API and YouTube. Youcine does not host, stream, or provide access to actual video content.

3. User Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the App.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers connected to the App
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the App to transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, functionality, and content (except for third-party content), is owned by Youcine and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Movie and TV show information, images, and related content are provided by third-party sources (including TMDb) and are subject to their respective licenses and terms. Youcine does not claim ownership of such third-party content.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

6. Third-Party Services and Content

The App integrates with third-party services, including:

  • The Movie Database (TMDb): Movie and TV show data
  • YouTube: Trailer and video content
  • Google AdMob: Advertising services
  • Firebase: Analytics and backend services
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party services.

7. Premium Subscriptions

Youcine may offer premium subscription services that provide additional features or remove advertisements. Subscription terms are as follows:

  • Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store account
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
  • No refunds will be provided for unused portions of a subscription period
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with advance notice

8. Advertising

The App may display advertisements from third-party ad networks, including Google AdMob. These advertisements may be targeted based on your interests and usage patterns. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or the practices of advertisers.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content

We do not guarantee that the App will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOUCINE AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Youcine and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Youcine operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

14. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part thereof at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Youcine regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
